I woke up one morning and popped another Motrin like I had been doing every morning, noon and night, when I realized that not only was it not helping my neck pain, but that it was making me feel worse. My stomach felt as if it had been cut with a knife. That’s when I decided to make the call to Dr. Tim’s office.

I was at work and for some reason, I felt extremely happy and full of energy, which is a very rare thing for me. It wasn’t until late that afternoon that I realized I didn’t have a headache. (I have had a headache almost every day of my life.) So, I’m sitting there at my desk, shocked with the realization that I do not have a headache and that I feel alive, happy and on top of the world and it’s then that I figure out why. It was Dr. Tim. After only two treatments, I didn’t have a headache. I had an appointment after work that day and I was so excited to tell both Denise and Dr. Tim. I didn’t know I could feel this way. It was as if I had been in this foggy haze and suddenly the sun came out and there was color everywhere. I should have made that phone call months ago when I first picked up their business card. I’m so glad I stopped in at the credit union next door and found them or else I would still be in a world of hurt.

It has been three weeks now since I started getting treatments. Not only has he helped me with my headaches, but I am more aware of my body and what I’m doing, or more importantly, not doing to it. I don’t pop a pill at the first tinge of pain.  I listen to my body and what it is telling me. I now know where the pain is coming from: head or neck, etc. and what the severity of the pain is. I now ask myself, “do I really need something for this pain, or is it something I can handle?” I’ve taken a pill at the first sight of pain for so long that it’s my first and only reaction to do so…It’s a horrible habit and I didn’t realize just how many pills I take (Motrin/Excedrin/Migraine). I don’t know if it’s from realizing that pills don’t always help; that they can actually make me feel worse, or if it’s from hearing Dr. Tim talk about how bad medicines really are that I no longer want to take the pills…or it just may be that I realized I no longer need to take them with Dr. Tim’s treatments. He really has made the biggest difference in my life. I feel so good. I never want to go back to being what I was before and this is only after three weeks time. If I feel this good without the headaches, I can’t even begin to imagine what I’ll feel like after my neck is pain-free.

What makes the biggest difference is the staff. I feel as if I’ve known Denise all of my life and I’m so comfortable with her. Dr. Tim isn’t like any of the other chiropractors that I’ve been to. He is so passionate about his job and about us: his patients. He truly believes in what he does and knows he makes a difference. He truly cares and that’s really all we want from a doctor – well, that and we want to get better, but knowing that your doctor cares about you is something you just don’t get in today’s world. It was the only reason I decided to stay and get treatments from Dr. Tim. That’s why I never stayed with another chiropractor. I’d go in for a treatment or two and would never go back. And it’s all because they didn’t care and there was no trust. And I have that with Dr. Tim and his staff. My only regret is that I didn’t come in sooner.

As a child, I was under a doctor’s care for the treatment of scoliosis. I endured about a year or two of nights where I had to sleep with two electrodes on my back, zapping my muscles every thirty seconds. This treatment seemed to arrest the progression of the curve, and at the end of treatment, my doctors told me to stay active and forget about my scoliosis. That’s what I did: I completely forgot I had it. Fast forward 25 years, I’m starting to develop allergies the first time in my life, I endure chronic feminine infections every other month, I’m starting to have asthma attacks for the first time. I lose my voice twice a year every year and suffer from severe coughing for a month after I lose my voice. About twice a year my neck cramps up so badly I can’t turn my head. And I thought I was in good health!

I started seeing Dr. Tim for some severe stomach pain that lasted for two days. I was quickly relieved of my stomach pain after starting care at Infinity Wellness Chiropractic. Besides that, I can now take deep breaths more easily, I’m more aware of my posture, I no longer have chronic feminine infections, I did not lose my voice or even get a cough this year, and my neck has not cramped up. I have been in Dr. Tim’s care and following his instructions for about a year. I now understand that the curvature of my spine was pinching the nerves to some of my major organs and causing symptoms I never thought to be connected to scoliosis.

I first sought care at Infinity Wellness Center for neck and back pain as well as depression. Since starting care at this office, I noticed that I don’t slouch any more, I have more energy, and no more difficulty sleeping. No pain! I have new friends, and I love visiting with the staff and other patients. It has been fun. My depression and anxiety are gone! No meds!
